Kings College School Wimbledon Digital Archives

Welcome to Kings College School Wimbledon's archives

The King’s College School archive collects and preserves records relating to the school’s history from its foundation in 1829 to the present day. The items in the collection range from 19th-century admissions registers to current student magazines, from films of science experiments (one involving radioactive materials) to blazers and caps. Almost every aspect of life at the school is captured.

This website provides access to some back issues of the school magazine. Past numbers are being digitised in batches and more content will be added over time. The text is fully searchable or you can browse individual issues.

Contact the school archivist, Lucy Inglis, at archive@kcs.org.uk to request login details.

The archive exists as part of the King's community. By taking care of these precious records, the school is preserving the collective memory of all who have a connection to King's, both past and present. It is always great to hear from former pupils and staff. If you have any reminiscences of your time at King's that you would be happy to share, or any material you would like to donate, please get in touch.

Visit the school archive blog to discover more about the archive.

Tours
‘Tour and Tea’ events take place throughout the year. These include a tour of the school campus with the archivist, during which she will explain about the history of the school and its buildings, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to see some material from the archive. If you would be interested in coming on a tour, please contact the Development office (development@kcs.org.uk).
